ACTING UP: Kristen Stewart, who has appeared in campaigns for Chanel and is regularly front-row at its shows, is to appear in a film being made for the French house’s next Métiers d’Arts show, scheduled for Dec. 1 in Rome.

PERSONAL SHOPPER: Nuovo progetto con Olivier Assayas per Kris

Kristen Stewart is set to star in Olivier Assayas’s “Personal Shopper,” a Paris-set English-language ghost story taking place in the fashion underworld. 

Assayas (“Clean,””Carlos”) previously directed Stewart in “Sils Maria” which world premiered in competition at Cannes and earned Stewart a best actress Cesar (France’s Oscar equivalent), becoming the first Cesar-winning American thesp ever. Penned by Assayas,”Personal Shopper” brings back “Sils Maria”‘s team: Producer Charles Gillibert for CG Cinema, MK2 for international sales and Les Films du Losange. 

Gillibert said “Personal Shopper” will feature some of same themes as “Sils Maria” and will also have a genre/fantasy dimension. Shooting will start in the last quarter of 2015 in Paris. 

Gillibert has “Mustang,” the directorial debut of Turkish helmer Deniz Gamze Ergüven, playing at Directors’ Fortnight. Ahead of its world premiere on Monday, the movie has earned great critical feedback while Ergüven is being buzzed about as a Turkish filmmaker to watch.

La storia originale parla della sopravvivenza di Bravo Company e del 19enne Billy Lynn in seguito ad una battaglia in Iraq seguita dai media. Vengono portati a casa dall'amministrazione statunitense per un tour promozionale, culminante con un halftime show durante una partita di Football del giorno dell'Indipendenza. Il tutto nella prospettiva di un imminente ritorno in guerra. Quasi l'intero film ha luogo durante la giornata della partita, con alcuni flashback degli eventi che hanno fatto di Billy un eroe.

Le riprese dovrebbero cominciare il 15 Aprile (fino al 15 Giugno) in Atlanta e Medio Oriente.

Quest'estate cominceranno le riprese del nuovo film di Woody Allen, con Kristen, Jesse Eisenberg e Bruce Willis. Come consuetudine per Allen, titolo e trama sono ancora sconosciuti.

NUOVO PROGETTO: Kelly Reichardt's New Untitled Project

Kristen Stewart si è aggiunta a Michelle Williams e Laura Dern nel dramma indie conosiuto come il progetto senza titolo di Kelly Reichardt (scritto e diretto dalla regista). Consiste in una serie di vignette che girano intorno alle vite della gente di un piccolo villaggio del Montana. 

Stewart interpreterà un giovane avvocato di Boise che accetta il lavoro di insegnante a diverse ore da dove abita. Nonostante le ansie legate al nuovo lavoro, è determinata a provare a se stessa che ce la può fare. Subito dopo aver cominciato, Beth sviluppa un'amicizia particolare con Jamie (una donna locale che sovraintende la sua classa). 

Fanno parte del film anche James Le Gros e Jared Harris (Mad Men), e la relativamente nuova del mestiere, Sara Rodier. Prodotto da Neil Kopp e Anish Savjani. 

Si comincerà a girare nella contea di Big Sky. Si sa inoltre che la Dern sarà Laura Wells, un avvocato di Helena che continua a ricadere nella sua relazione con Ryan Lewis (Le Gros), un uomo sposato al quale non può importare meno di moglie e figlia. La Williams interpreterà la moglie di Ryan, Gina Lewis, impiegata nella pubblicità con il marito fedifrago. Per finire, Harris è un ex manovale infortunatosi sul lavoro che sta progettando un sequestro. Rodier, sarà invece la figlia della Williams e Le Gross.

Tutto questo all'interno di un progetto in supporto delle donne nei film, "Women in Film". EXCLUSIVE: Hot Cannes seller Equals has been steadily casting up over the past several weeks as it preps for an August start in Japan and Singapore. Already on board are Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart, Guy Pearce, Kate Lyn Sheil and Aurora Perrineau. I’ve learned that two-time Oscar-nominated Australian actress Jacki Weaver is also now in negotiations to join the futuristic love story that’s being helmed by Drake Doremus from a script by Moon‘s Nathan Parker. 

The picture is set in a future society where emotions have been eradicated and the new breed of humans is called Equals. When “Switched-On Syndrome” infects Silas (Hoult), he becomes an outcast. Nia (Stewart) suffers from the same condition, but is able to hide her emotions. The only way for them to ensure their survival is to escape. Weaver would play Bess, a powerful woman trained as a doctor. She meets Silas in a support group and ultimately helps both Silas and Nia. 

Producers are Ridley Scott, Michael Schaefer, Ann Ruark, and Jay Stern and Chip Diggins of Route One which is also financing. Weaver received her most recent Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for 2012′s Silver Linings Playbook and is next up in Woody Allen’s Magic In The Moonlight as well as Gracepoint, Fox’s adaptation of hit British drama Broadchurch. She’s repped by ICM Partners, Elevate Entertainment and Felker Toczek Suddelson.

Trama:

Silas (Hoult) vive in una società futuristica chiamata The Collective. Gli abitanti sono una specie evoluta di essere umano chiamati Equals. Sono una popolazione calma, educata, democratica e di indole pacifica.. che permette loro una vita perfetta, senza brama, povertà, violenza e soprattutto niente emzioni. EXCLUSIVE: Tim Blake Nelson is getting more company on his ensemble drama Anesthesia. The Lincoln actor wrote, stars in, and is directing the pic which follows the disparate stories of New Yorkers whose lives come together after the violent mugging of a Columbia University philosophy professor. Sam Waterston has been cast as said professor, Walter Zarrow. Oscar-nominated Glenn Close will play Zarrow’s wife Marcia, with Corey Stoll (Midnight In Paris) as an investment banker who witnesses the attack and Gretchen Mol as his wife, an alcoholic New Jersey homemaker. As I reported Sunday, Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart has taken a supporting role in the ensemble drama; she’ll play Zarrow’s troubled student Sophie. Nelson will step in front of the camera himself to play Zarrow’s son.
